II went to the restaurant about two months ago mainly because of the great ratings.
The restaurant was empty on a Friday night and now I know why.
Well, the food served to me was not that great. I asked for the Pineapple rice and the pineapples tasted like canned pineapples. I ordered some sort of chicken for my daughter and she didnt like it either.
They dont have any smoothies, shakes or juice. Just basically soda cans, the Thai beer (hey, that one is good), some coolers (no alcohol).
The restaurant is kind of small and rather dark, but it was okay since there were only the four of us (me, husband and my two kids)
The owners wife is great. She and her husband want to make sure that you enjoy the food and strive to make you feel great in less than desirable times.
Pros: Nice owners, Inexpensive, Good parking
Cons: Small, Dark

The chef/owner is talented and many of his dishes are very good, however, the food quality and freshness varies. Most notable is the pad thai, which when made well has a nice balance of hot, spicy, sour, and sweet. Often, though, the chicken or beef pad thai has dry, overcooked bits of meat and overall can be very greasy. Their peanut sauce, spring rolls, chicken/beef satay, and beef massaman are usually very good (though the beef massaman can be tough). All the dishes could benefit from a lighter hand with the oil. This restaurant can serve great food but it's inconsistent. Sometimes the service is great, other times it's 'meh'.

Bai Poe Thai by far has the best Thai Food I have ever had. It's another one of those holes in the wall that ends up suprsing even the most sceptical people. I always get the red curry when I am there, and my dad swears by the chicken fried rice.. The service is wonderful, and I love the people there. I would definitely recommend that you try it out!
